Film On The Run
This proved to be a fun week and as many weeks in LA are, full of surprises, ups, downs and all arounds. I got a last minute call to work the Hollywood Improv on Saturday, which is always nice. That's something that never happened while living in Michigan. Maybe, and just maybe, you get a call to stop by Club Bart for a guest spot- but that usually was over once the first beer can hit your head.
After Saturday's show I woke up bright and early Sunday morning and traveled to another town known for entertainment, Marquette, Michigan. Do yourselves a favor and find out where Marquette is by clicking HERE. Yeah, talk about a whole new world. This is the kind of town where when three LA residents walk into a bar, the juke box stops and every head turns saying, "Who are THESE guys, eh?" Parking at the airport is three dollars a day!
Film On The Run had a great show there, we had so much help and enthusiasm from all the students and faculty at Nor therm Michigan University. I had a great set, introduced some great short films and we even partied afterwords. Film On The Run is going to really blow up so make sure you check it while you still can. Thank you to all who attended and made it an awesome event! Here are some shots:
Dan Mintz and I at the Improv on Saturday. Dan just finished shooting his Comedy Central half hour special which is the only reason I took this picture.
Creators and producers of Film On The Run, Noelle and Logan. Copy that.
Post show party with a bunch of Yoopers. Many thanks to all the NMU students and staff for making a great Film On The Run!
