Lethbridge... where is that?
Exactly. I didn't know where it was either. Upon checking into the Travel Lodge with headliner Kerry Unger I asked, "Do you happen to have wireless internet in the rooms?" The women responded by saying "No, welcome to Hickville"
Well at least she said it and I didn't.
There are certain times as an entertainer when you really feel like you've made it. This was not one of those times. Occasionally, the noise of the people in the front row chewing their nachos was louder than the laughs. Other times, the pool table was louder. One time, I had a table full of laughs, and I felt like I had actually gotten through to them.... I only found out later than they were laughing because one of their friends tripped leaving the bathroom.
Thank you Lethbridge. Thank you for chewing your nachos so loudly that it overwhelmed the laughter. Thank you for making me wonder why the hell I quit my job.
Here are a couple of pictures. Thank God my shirts finally came in (even though I told them just to ship them back home, proving once again that the USPS is the MOST incompetent business in the world), because this group of five loved them.
I think it's so funny that people put their shirts on at the bar... awesome!
Me and headliner Kerry Unger. Kerry and I played 18 holes of golf the next day and he... is better than I am. I shot a 49 on the front and a 60 on the back. Yes, a 60. Kerry is also a published cartoonist, thanks for a fun couple of days Kerry!
So now it's Thursday, one more show tonight in Calgary. Then tomorrow a show in Saskatoon and Saturday's show is in Regina. Saskatoon and Regina, mine as well be New York and LA. Then it's back to the states.
Thanks for the messages and emails, keep it up.
Lethbridge, finish your applesauce.
